Frosty Butt Director’s Ride
Frosty Butt Director’s Ride
January 1, 20219:00 am - 1:00 pm
Join us this New Year’s Day for our Annual Frosty Butts ride. As is the H.O.G. #93 tradition, our incoming director will be keeping the destination to themselves for this ride. Whatever the destination, you can count on a fun ride with good friends--what better way is there to put 2020 in our rearview?
Meets at QT (Cave Creek and Union Hills) @ 9:00am-KSU 9:30am
RC – Tyrah “Shortstop” Lawson
Approximate miles – 85 (One way)
Ride difficulty – Frosty
Our very own Wayne “Mile H’oar” Butler is taking us on a ride that takes advantage of every beautiful desert backroad he could find to get us up to Tortilla Flats, the long way! Beautiful desert vistas abound on this ride as we make our way up to these favored flats for lunch.
***Dealer Sponsored Ride***
Meets at Circle K (2575 Sonoran Desert Dr, 303 & I-17) @ 8:00am-KSU 8:30am RC – Wayne “Mile H’oar” Butler Approximate miles – 106 Ride difficulty – Medium (for curves up and downhill)
Squirrel was out one day a huntin’ for some food, when up from the ground came a bubblin…wait, that’s a whole other story! Let’s start again, while out on a pre-ride, Eddie “Squirrel” Galacci spotted a piece of desert road he would like us to explore together as part of a fun little loop ride. We will go out to Wickenburg, out the Vulture Mine road and over to the Salome highway, then make our way along Eagle Eye road and back around to Wickenburg for lunch. The majority of this loop takes us along some rugged desert vistas and some nice, curvy roads—should be a hoot.
Meets at Circle K (2575 Sonoran Desert Dr, 303 & I-17) @ 8:00am-KSU 8:30am RC – Eddie “Squirrel” Galacci Approximate miles – 221 (round trip) Ride difficulty – Easy
This is the first road captain meeting of the new year and I’m holding it where it should be held; on the road! In addition to ride planning, we will be discussing and demonstrating ride leadership best practices and sharing ideas on how to improve the group ride experience for everyone on our rides. This meeting/ride is open to any current HOG 93 member that is interested in becoming a better ride leader. This will be a great opportunity to learn about ride leadership in a fun and sharing environment where we will provide hands-on best practices and guidelines for leading cohesive and enjoyable group rides.
Meets at New River Shell (I-17 and New River Road) – 9:00am
PLEASE NOTE: This ride will not count toward Road Warrior or chapter miles and is intended for existing, new and prospective road captains.
January 30, 20219:00 am - 10:00 am Buddy Stubbs Harley-Davidson, 13850 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85022, USA
